Today, I worked at Project Homeless Connect. It was kind of fun, and a different sort of work. Connecting with people informally and networking with people from other agencies. The bad thing was getting up SO early for a Saturday to be there by 8.
On to the beautiful part of my day.
I went to the Kananaskis, or K-country for the first time. Yeah, it took almost 2.5 years to do. A shame, really, as it's so beautiful there. We parked at the Watson Lodge and 'hiked' in the area for a few hours ... and of course took pictures. We had some good conversation throughout the day and enjoyed pizza for a late supper.
When I got home, I found an e-mail from a friend in Winnipeg. She will be moving in with me in October. When I read the e-mail, I started to get excited. It's a wee bit scary, as I have lived by myself for quite a long time, but I think it will be a good thing.
And, finally, the moon was really beautiful tonight and I was able to get a decent shot of the moon beside the Calgary tower.
A few interesting things ....
I've never seen so many bees in one area in my life!!! It smelled so good. Like honey.
What I call the fall version of the marijuana plant.
I'll try to do another post soon with pictures of various mushrooms we found.
See below for pictures from today. Enjoy!

Great photos as usual, Patti. You're a talented photographer. Ever consider joining the paparazzi squad?
