Memories of Summer

I haven't been very faithful in keeping up the blog this summer. I've had a few opportunities to get out of town for the day, the weekend, to a week or two. I've seen some beautiful places. And gained some new memories. And, hopefully, summer is not over yet!!!

Kitsilano Beach (or maybe Jericho Beach?), Vancouver
(if you know which beach this is, please let me know and I will correct this)

Doesn't this log look like a creepy, evil frog?

Amusing Sign and Statues

Today, I went to the Latino festival at Olympic Plaza. On my way, I saw an amusing sign. I actually pass by this corner often, but this was my first time seeing this sign. The specialty at this restaurant / pub is "Prairie Oysters". I've seen the menu ... "black and blue balls" is one of the menu items, although I think this menu is highlighted at Stampede time.

There are some statues near the Plaza in honour of women with reference to when women were first considered 'human beings'.

And, finally, an architecture picture.
