Heading to MB ... and Taco Soup

First of all, I want to comment on Taco Soup. Mm mm good. I've come to believe this is a Mennonite food. Well, not traditional Mennonite. But everyone who I know makes it is Mennonite. Basically, it is a thick chili like soup with carrots, corn, and beef. You add a dollop of sour cream, some shredded cheese, and taco chips. I think this would be an awesome slow cooker thing to make. I need to get a recipe. My slow cooker is my friend, as is my bread maker. I have recently enjoyed fresh homemade brown bread.

Now, about going to Manitoba. I will be going over the Christmas period. If anyone wants to get together with me, please e-mail me, comment on the blog, or call/text my cell phone. I won't post the number on the blog but if you want it, ask and I can e-mail it. Or message me through Facebook. I have a few plans, but I still have some open days/evenings. I also don't know what I'm doing on New Year's Eve, so if anyone knows of anything interesting happening, let me know.

Now, I'm gonna head out and try driving my car for the first time in, oh, 3 weeks. Almost. I hope my car is ok and that nobody has 'broken into it' again. I left something at work.

And an update on my elbow. According to the X-Ray, there has been little healing. However, I have a lot more movement and functioning since I fell. The doctor thinks I will be fine. He said, "sometimes these things don't heal". I hope that won't be the case for me. From the sounds of things, I don't have any restrictions on activities anymore. Not officially anymore. I will still need to be careful and ease into things. I only have to go back to the doctor in 6 weeks, at which time, depending on how much Range of Motion I have, I may have to go for physio.
