The alien has returned!

Today was a lazy day. I did my usual Saturday things ... sleep in, read, go online for a while, go for a 'stroll' on my scooter, and go to one of my favourite hang-outs on a Saturday afternoon to read the paper and have a coffee.

For supper, I decided to use my sandwich maker to make grilled cheese sandwiches. I got everything ready and plugged it in to warm up. I waited maybe 15 minutes and wondered why the sandwich maker wasn't heating up. I noticed my light was dimmer (review the 'Alien lights' posting from months ago - maybe this time last year - if you're curious), so I turned off the light. Except the light didn't turn off. I decided to unplug it and go to the outlet at the other end of my table. Unfortunately, the cord was too short to reach from the outlet to the height of the table, even if the table would have been right up close to the wall. Hmmm ... what to do? So, off to the balcony I went. I cooked my food on the balcony, despite the chilly wind.

Now, it's about midnight. I'm back from going to Steeps with a friend. We noticed that sandal weather is quickly coming to a close in the evenings. :( Where has summer gone??!!
