It's been a while

It's been a busy few weeks. My parents came to visit me during the Easter weekend. We spent a day in Banff, which was nice. Went to the hot springs and went up and down Mt Sulphur on the gondola. My mom met up with a friend she hadn't seen in 42 years. That was kind of neat.

Julie came the next weekend. Unfortunately, I had to work for a few hours on the Saturday. Everyone else seemed to be able to get out of it. We ended up going shopping at Ikea in the morning, then off to work, and then to Chinook mall. I found 2 pairs of jeans and Julie actually bought a dress. :) On Sunday, we skipped out of church and went up to Banff. It was nice to get out of the city again. When we got back, we had the bbq that we were planning to have the whole weekend. It was really good - grilled veggies and chicken that had been marinated in an oriental tangerine sauce.

I'm not sure why, but I was exhausted this week. I even went to bed early a few times. Maybe I was exhausted because I worked 12 hours on Tuesday. I played piano at the Celebration of Lifelong Learning (a work function). I checked out a gym on Wednesday, and on Thursday, I went to Spanish. I finally took a break and rested on Friday night.

And now, the weekend is wrapping up. The weekend has been good.

I have a meeting tomorrow that I'm not looking forward to, but I can't go into detail here. It'll be a meeting where I'll have to really be careful not to get defensive and just state the facts, as will the rest of us who have to be at this meeting. And (I can't believe I did this), I just checked my work e-mail - yes, on the weekend, and it turns out that others seem to think that the other OT is my boss and I have to answer to her for everything. That does not impress me because I've been told that's not true. But, maybe, it is and I just don't know it. Just because she has the 'manager' title. My boss told me OT is not under the other OT's domain of 'Health and Wellness'. I hope this week will be ok.
