Last night, I wouldn't let the fact that I couldn't find anyone to go for coffee with me or hang out with me keep me at home. So, I went out on my scooter for a 'walk' around the neighbourhood and to stop at Starbucks for a coffee. As I got to the garbage bins outside, I drove over this piece of paper. I looked back and noticed it was fluttering in the air, so I went back to take a look. Turns out the piece of paper was not just any piece of paper, but a crisp $5 bill. It was in the area where the homeless guys hang around, so I figured it would be one of theirs. However, nobody was nearby, and I knew that if I didn't pick it up, someone else would take it before the homeless guys would be back. It could have been anyone's. It could even have fallen out of a garbage bag where it wasn't intended to be in the first place. I decided to keep the $5 bill and use it to rent a movie for myself. I enjoyed my 'walk' and the movie I rented ended up to be pretty good. The movie was called 'Mozart and Whale'.
This evening, I will be going to a LaCross game. I have no idea what the rules are, or what the game is even like. I was offered a free ticket. We will be in one of the 'suites' in the Saddledome. Apparently these suites have couches and a private washroom. Pretty sweet, I'd say. Hopefully it will be fun. I think I know everyone going, so, if nothing else, it will be a social night.
Just a side note. Apparently, my all-purpose cleaner takes off nailpolish. I wonder if that's more gentle than real nailpolish remover or if it's harder on the nails. My hands have never burned when I got the cleaner on my hands and they never appeared any drier.
By the way, there is significance to the spoon in the coffee. For those who know me, I always try to leave the spoon in the mug when I'm drinking tea or coffee. Not sure why, but that's the way I like it.
