Just wanted to let you all know that today we had beautiful weather. The temperature was above zero and it was sunny. I, in fact, went for a 'walk' on my scooter and then read on my balcony for a while. As I watched the Grey Cup game, I saw the clouds of breath from the players and thought, "That's something I haven't experienced much in Calgary this year". Hehe. Just wanted to rub that in a bit. Oh, yeah, and I don't know if you have snow yet, but there still is no snow on the ground here. :) That's probably a good thing as I can't find my boots anywhere, nor can I find many of my winter clothes.
Also, does anyone know how I might be able to transport my 'duck of death' - my walking stick (aka, pato de morte, or the bunny head for those who see it that way) on the plane? Is it better to take take it apart and put it in my luggage or take it with me whole on the plane? Is it icy in Winnipeg or should I rather leave it at home? Any ideas before Friday would be good.
