I got a letter today indicating I am approved for getting a new wheelchair. Thing is, I still need to pay 25% of the cost. The cost comes to just under $3000. That means, I'll have to pay over $700 for the chair. I am hoping my insurance will cover that cost. The chair is nice, though. It should ride a lot smoother, and for those who push me, the handles should be higher than my current ones ... I'm sure you'll be thankful! The chair is supposed to be ultralight. And it will be 'midnight blue'. I saw an orange one like it online, but orange wasn't in my selection of colours I could choose from. That would be a significant up-charge. Also, the wheels in this picture are approximately $1000 a piece. Not gonna happen. I got different arm rests because these are not removeable. Other than that, I think it's mostly the same. This chair has shiny front castors ... I can't remember the colour of the castors on the one being ordered for me. I didn't know this was an option.
