This time, I wish the written word could have sounds. It is the sounds and sights of spring that let me know spring has come. Hopefully to stay, although the forecast calls for some snow tonight.
Yesterday, I woke to the sound of geese honking. Yes, it woke me up. For those who have been to my place in spring or summer, you have heard the geese. They are loud! Maybe that's because they fly at the height of my apartment. Yesterday, I also noticed other 'sounds of spring': the sound of splashing [melted] water and many birds chirping in a bush. I also saw trees budding.
As I look out my patio window, I notice birds soaring in the sky. I don't see any snow on the rooftops. I see a beautiful sunny day.
Together with 'plus' temperatures, I'd say Spring has Come!
It's a shame I haven't been outside yet today, but I will in about an hour from now. I'm going to a farewell party. But first, we will go to the park to do an 'experiment'. Maybe I'll take some video footage or some pictures.
