So ... I have the movers lined up to bring my stuff from Manitoba. It cost just a wee bit more than I expected (ok, slight understatement). But I had to make a decision and I didn't know who to go to for advice. Nevertheless, the movers are supposed to pick up my stuff on July 5 and arrive here sometime on the weekend. Or Friday at the earliest. I hope that all goes ok. I'm a bit financially stressed because of all the bills right now.
On other notes ... I just completed my Standard First Aid training together with CPR. This also included certification on using an AED ... Anyone know what that is? It's a defibrillator. No, not with the big paddles. That's part of the past. Not sure if it is part of the past in hospitals, but they now have small boxes that organizations can buy in case employees have a heart attack, or more specifically, those who go into v-fib (ventricular fibrillation). I'd say most of the 2-day training was not helpful ... mostly a review and very little practice. But it was neat learning about AED's. Apparently there are 400 of them in Calgary aside from EMS vehicles.
And on an entirely different note.... I finally had the house to myself this evening. I could have gone to a bbq, but I kind of wasn't interested and I also wasn't feeling very well. But it was nice to have the space to myself.

You seem to post a lot about Calgary. What do I want to know about Calgary for? I'm in (enter current location). You should write about here more.
You cannot find me! You cannot guess who I am!
-sincerly, mike.
Mike, Mike ... how can you be anonymous when you sign off with your name? You'll have to try a little harder to be anonymous. :) I know where you are ... I'll try to write about your 'current' location more often.
